En 1978, 14 policiers ont été honorés à l’occasion du premier Service commémoratif. Aujourd’hui, les noms de près de 900 camarades sont désormais inscrits sur les 28 panneaux de verre installés sur la Colline du Parlement donnant sur la rivière des Outaouais et la Cour suprême du Canada. Les panneaux de verre rendent un hommage permanent à nos héros, rappelant à tout jamais aux générations futures, le sacrifice ultime de nos membres disparus.

On November 6, 2017 John Davidson was killed in the line of duty. He was responding to reports of a stolen vehicle when he was shot and seriously injured. Davidson was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived. He was a 24-year veteran who served in both the Fraser Valley and in the U.K. His death sparked an outpouring of support from agencies and communities across B.C., Canada, and the world.
